Creative Electronics Workshop Installation

This is an installation about the relationship of air and breathing.

We aim to trigger off some images/objects/particles by detecting the player’s breathing.

A room will be set up a projection. It will show how those images move by running the program.

A sensor to detect the player’s respiration speed.

Thus, how the player breathe, how the images are being generated.

Cookies

I make 5 plate of ‘cookies’ and display them on the table. One plate is the cookie that we see normally. Second is the cookie which already broken to pieces. Third one is the cookie that not yet be baked. Forth one is the thick liquid. Fifth one is the stuff to make the cookie. Then, can you tell me which one is ‘cookie’? I want to question that name and the outlook just a external, the nature has not being changed.

Ball Ball Chair

A chair should be stable for sitting. Balloon is light and easy to be broken. What will happen if chair made by balloons? Physically, a chair can be stable although made by lots of balloon. The outcome is interesting that you will afraid of sitting on it. It is an amazing sitting experience.

Path

We usually use our hand to touch everything. This time we can use our foot as a medium. Lots of different materials are letting your foot to feel it such as bubble paper, sponge,魔術貼etc. Remind you that we have another sensitive tool other than our hand. You will have a new experience to relook something normal in your eyes.

Bamboo crossing

Zebra crossing is an essential item to a city. It guides us where to across the road. Bamboo gives you a feel of leisure. We can it only in countryside, far away from the city. This time I use bamboo to recreate the zebra crossing. It is a contradiction between leisure and busy. It is both interesting to see this bamboo crossing in a city or countryside.

Wooden luxury

High heel is a glamorous icon to a girl, lady and woman. It implies of elegance, noble and gorgeous. Undoubtedly, it is a kind of luxury good. How about a wooden high heel? Wood gives us a feeling of simple, native and plain. This contradiction recalls us outlook always is an illusion.

LOVE silhouette

There always is a code among lovers. Their gesture, language, facial expression is a code among them. Whenever they take the escalator, as they have to wait a few second, it is relatively easy to understand their code. There are several silhouette of those lovers paste around the wall. Try to feel their passionate love code.
